Abby Fichtner

helps people build amazing technology and push the edge on what’s possible.

I’ve been named an Innovation Amplifier by the Boston Globe, one of the Top 25 Women in Boston Tech, and — pretty cool — Mashable just recognized me as one of the influencers shaping Boston’s tech scene.Abby

I’m Hacker in Residence for Harvard Innovation Lab, Creator of Hack Boston, advisor for the SXSW Accelerator and launcher of Boston’s Big Data Hacker Space.

My joy is working with hackers and entrepreneurs who are building things no one else believes is possible. I’ve worked with hundreds of tech startups and have taught workshops for MIT, Harvard and TechStars (to name a few). I even spent a couple of really fun years as Microsoft’s Evangelist for Startups.

A software developer by trade, my prior background is a mixture of developing bleeding-edge technology for startups and coaching teams on how to develop software better.

I’m extremely passionate about building communities where innovation thrives because I believe that each and every one of us is capable of changing the world.

➠ I do a lot of speaking gigs and have helped large organizations like Microsoft & Oracle with innovation. If you’re interested, let me know!
